10 States Where Nurse Anesthetists Earn the Most

To be in this career, a person needs to be a registered nurse with a specialization in graduate education. However, the extra task could pay off with a promising job in the future.
Based on the Occupational Outlook Handbook of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, nurse anesthetists' employment is expected to increase by 26 percent between 2018 and 2028, a rate faster than the average for any other occupation.
Using the BLS occupational data, here is a compilation of the average salary of a nurse anesthetist by the state.
10 States with Highest-Paid Nurse Anesthetics
According to the most recent data from BLS, the national average income of a nurse anesthetist annually is $181,040. The amount is way above twice the present average annual wage of $53,490 for all occupations.
The average salary of an anesthetic nurse can differ considerably according to the state. Nonetheless, even the lowest-paying states for the said professionals, have average wages that are nearly $100,000 more than the average for all occupations nationwide.
In the state with the highest paying salary for nurse anesthetists, the average amount is almost $190,000 more than the average salary annually for all jobs in the US.
1. Wyoming
The highest-paying state among the ten states with an average salary of $243,310.
2. Montana
With an average amount of $239, 380.
3. Oregon
A nurse anesthetist here earns an average of $234,750.
4. Wisconsin
An individual with the same job in this state is making more than $230,000 on average.
5. California
A nurse anesthetist here is earning an average salary of $227,290.
6. Iowa
the same occupation has $202,400 for an average salary.
7. Massachusetts
The average wage for a nurse anesthetist here is $201,890.
8. New York
Nurse anesthetists in this state are earning an average income of $200,350.
9. Illinois
In this state, anesthetists are getting an average wage of $199,660.
10. Connecticut
A nurse anesthetist here has an average salary of $198,750.

States where Nurse Anesthetics Earn the Least Income
Forbes also listed the bottom ten states where nurse anesthetics are earning the lowest. Most of these states are located in the southeast, southwest, and several states in the US's Census-designated Mountain division, Utah and Idaho.
The good news is that the average salary of nurse anesthetists, even in the lowest-waged stage is what is described as very solid compensation in terms of the reduction of cost of living some of these states, and when making a comparison between the wages of nurse anesthetists and salaries for all jobs overall.
To date, Arizona might be the lowest-paying state for the said profession, although, according to the analysis, the future could be promising.
The average wage for a nurse anesthetist in Arizona increased by 23 percent for the past five years since 2014, with $117,510, to 2019 with $114,530.
And, even in this state, the average wage for nurse anesthetic is $91,040, more than the average salary for all jobs annually across the nation.
