It is indeed possible to test and know your blood type through the use of a compact and handy blood test kit you can conveniently order and purchase online.

Do you ever wonder if it is possible to have your own blood type tested sans going out and traveling or walking at a nearby clinic?

Here's the good news! It is indeed possible to test and know your blood type through the use of a compact and handy blood test kit you can conveniently order and purchase online.

There are four major blood types: Type A, Type B, Type AB, and Type O. When using at-home blood test kits, you will usually be instructed to "prick your finger" using a lancet and have your blood dropped on a special card that comes with the pack.

Once the blood has been dropped on the card, you can already detect the areas where the drop of blood spreads out and matches such reaction to a guide included in the pack. Some at-home blood test kits come in vials of fluid of a person's blood, in contrary to a card mentioned earlier.

Finding Your Blood Type

Not a lot of people know that there are kits available online for at-home blood testing. The kit is packed with all the things you need to test your blood or know your blood type.

Typically included in the kit are small sticks, a finger poker, and an essential item, according to those who have done blood-testing at home-the Eldoncard.

This is a piece of paper made to react in various ways to the blood. One just simply drops the blood on it, churn it, and the result comes out. Quickly, the user will know which blood group he belongs to.

Test kits usually cost around $6 each, and they are more often than not, available on Amazon. So, anyone who wants his blood type tested a home either out of curiosity or requirement, the kit is now just a click away.

5 Simple Ways

Determining your blood type at home is possible in five easy ways. Here are the steps to follow:

1.       Check All Items in the Kit

Be sure all items inside the kit are laid down in front of you. Add one drop of water to every circle that can be seen on the Eldoncard.

2.       Ensure Sterilized Finger

Using an alcohol wipe, have your finger sterilized and prick it using the lancet in the kit.

3.       Squeeze to Get the Blood Out

Squeeze your fingertip to allow the blood to drop. With one of the plastic tools that come with the kit, transfer the blood to one of the circles on the card. Do the same procedure for each of the circles.

4.       Spin the Water and Blood Droplet

Using the same plastic stick used to collect the blood, spin the water and blood droplet to mix in every circle. For 10 seconds, tilt the card in every direction.

5.       Compare

Now, compare the circles of blood on the card to identify your blood type.

If you are worried about the accuracy of "at-home blood type kits," many people who have used them have already tried, tested, and proven that they are reliable.
