Surgeons were reportedly able to form ‘new manhood with its own vessels and nerves’ that would use a skin fold on the right-handed man’s left arm.

Recent reports came out, featuring a British man whose penis fell off because of a severe blood infection, so he had to have a new one built in a place where it was not supposed to be, for now at least.

45-year-old Malcolm MacDonald's "new penis" was built on his arm. In fact, he even had two extra inches. Reports also indicated, he suffered a terrible infection that caused blackness to his perineum, toes, fingers, and even his "manhood".

MacDonald said that the infection he had suffered in his perineum for several years did not give him an idea of what could happen.

This man, a dad of two, also said, when he saw his penis turned black, it felt "like a horror film," which made him panic. He also thought that deep down, it was gone and that he was about to lose it.

Down and Devastated

MacDonald shared how completely gutted he was when, in 2014, his penis just fell on the floor. However, his testicles remained intact.

Devastated, MacDonald drank his emotions away and opted not to see his loved ones, saying he simply did not want to face up to it.

MacDonald recalled that for years after he lost his penis, "I felt a shadow of a man" whose life had fallen apart due to lack of self-confidence.

A Glimmer of Hope

MacDonald later was informed by his doctor about Professor David Ralph, who is a "penis master" from London University College Hospital.

The phallus expert devised popularly, a bionic penis for a man named Andrew Wardle, who was born without the said organ.

The case gave MacDonald a spark of hope that he could return to being a man again. Meanwhile, Professor Ralph claimed he could conduct the arm-attachment procedure, which would take a maximum of two years.

Luckily, the man received funding for the surgery, which made him decide to request two inches more "on the $65,000 addition."

His surgeons were able to build his new penis with its own vessels and nerves that would use a skin fold on the right-handed man's left arm.

A Condition Beyond the Ordinary

The doctors created a urethra and had two tubes inflated with a pump that will help achieve an erection.

The shaft was then taken out of his forearm, leaving the base to let it develop naturally as both tissue and skin. Now, MacDonald is waiting for his penis to be placed in a location where it should be.

He said, when he saw it on his arm for the first time, he felt proud, adding, after all the things he had experienced, "It didn't feel weird at all" as he thought it was just a part of him.

MacDonald's new penis has not been attached to its proper place, four years following the surgery because some missed appointments, conflicts with scheduling, shortages in hospital staff, and finally, this global health crisis.

The surgery was canceled he shared, because of COVID-19. At first, he also said, he felt the cancellation as a curse as he hoped to have his new penis attached between his legs by the end of the year.
