3 Best Immunity Tips From the Expert: Dr. Anthony Fauci Shares Health Practices To Stay Away From COVID-19 and Other Diseases
If there's one expert who can give the best tips for one to avoid illness, that's Dr. Anthony Fauci, the head of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Fauci has been providing the country with scientifically-supported guidance in order to minimize the risk of spreading the virus and developing the virus itself.
Additionally, promoting precautions like wearing face masks and frequent washing of hands, as one of the nation's top infectious disease experts, Dr. Fauci maintains as well the essentiality of leading a healthy lifestyle to stay away from COVID-19 and other diseases.
In the July 2020 issue of InStyle, this well-respected health expert gives immunity tips to get rid not just of COVID-19, but other conditions, as well.

3 of the Effective Tips from the Expert
Here are 3 of the best tips Dr. Fauci told InStyle people could follow to stay away from any sickness. At 79, these and more practices are what he does to remain healthy.
1. Take these 2 Vitamins Daily
Earlier this month, Dr. Fauci was seen in a live interview with Jennifer Garner via Instagram. Here, he encouraged all IG followers to take vitamin C and D supplements to ensure immune health.
If one has vitamin D deficiency, he said, it then has an effect on his susceptibility to infection. He shares he himself takes the supplements, as well. Meanwhile, on IG live, Dr. Fauci recommended vitamin C as it is "a good antioxidant."
Vitamin D, based on the report from the National Institutes of Health or NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, vitamin D supplements help strengthen the bones, lower inflammation, and support the immune function.

2. Exercise
The InStyle article also indicates that, for the most part, Dr. Fauci remains healthy in an old-fashioned manner, particularly by working out several times each week.
The infectious disease expert said in the online magazine's feature on him, and he makes exercise a substantial "part of my regimen." He also explained that he does power-walk "at least 3.5 miles a day to relieve stress and stay healthy."
Dr. Fauci shared as well that his power-walking habit is not a new activity as he used to run roughly seven miles each day. He slowed down and started to power work because he said that some parts of his body hurt a lot at the end of his run.
3. Wear a Face Mask
Dr. Fauci said wearing a mask is essential to stop the spread of COVID-19. This is the reason it is not surprising that wearing a face-covering dominates all the things this health expert does.
The only time he does not wear a mask, he said in one of his previous interviews, "Is when I am alone" with his wife or speaking in public.
However, Dr. Fauci emphasized that he doesn't put on a face mask when speaking in public, provided that "there are six feet between me and people" to whom he is speaking. The same case applied, the health official said, when he answered questions during the recent hearings in Congress.
